In 1985, after working in the pool industry for a few short years, Ken Baker was presented the opportunity to purchase a relatively new business, Pooltex American. Together with his wife Paula, Ken purchased Pooltex American and began operation. Through many hours of hard work and their honest approach to providing quality services, they have built Pooltex American into the premiere pool company in the Brenham area.

Pooltex American is truly a family owned and operated business. Ken and Paula’s son, John Baker, grew up working at Pooltex. Over the years, he has performed and became familiar with the many duties within the company. In 2003, after attending college and a successful NFL pro football career, John returned home to help in the family business. He is currently taking over the management and operations of the business as well as pool and spa design.

Pooltex philosophy is the same as it was in 1982; to provide top quality swimming pool installation, maintenance and service at competitive prices. We want you to enjoy your pool by not allowing it from becoming your biggest problem.
